Important Message: Edison International will no longer be accepting funding applications for 2008. All corporate contributions have been committed for the current year and the August filing window has closed. Edison appreciates your interest in applying for funding. Please submit requests in the next application cycle which opens Feb. 1, 2009. If you have any further questions, please contact the Community Involvement staff by sending an e-mail to edison.gifts@sce.com.
Before submitting a request, make sure to review our contribution guidelines. Review for the majority of funding requests generally takes between six and eight weeks. Requests greater than $25,000 can take up to three months.
Edison International accepts online applications for:
- Cash grants ($5,000 - 25,000)
- Sponsorships ($5,000 - 25,000)
- Computer Donations
Applications will only be accepted during the following funding cycles in 2008:
- Application Cycle 1 - February 1 through February 29, 2008 (ended March 7, 2008)
- Application Cycle 2 - May 1 through May 31, 2008
- Application Cycle 3 - August 1 through August 31, 2008
Funding requests generally take between six and eight weeks to review. Edison’s corporate giving priorities are: education (math, science and engineering); environment; and underserved populations.
All requests require the following:
- Edison GIFTS online application (not available off cycle)
- IRS determination letter
- Project budget
For requests $10,000 and greater, please also submit:
- Audited Financial Statement
- Board Member Roster
- List of Major Contributors, including dollar amounts
- (Optional) brochures, press clippings, letters of support, or other promotional materials, no videos please.
