About the California Climate Action Registry

Formed by the state legislature in 2001 as a non-profit, public-private partnership, the California Climate Action Registry is the center for education and global leadership on Climate Change. The Registry readily assists organizations in measuring, monitoring and establishing a state-recognized baseline of GHG emissions.

Members include some of America’s largest companies and leaders in their industries: aerospace corporations, cities and counties, manufacturing plants, oil refineries, universities, and utility providers. The Board of Directors is appointed by the Governor and represents business, government, and non-profit organizations.

The Registry encourages voluntary public reporting and reduction of GHG emissions.
