Falcon Ridge Substation Project
The cities of Fontana and Rialto, along with surrounding areas including Rancho Cucamonga and Devore in San Bernardino County, have experienced rapid growth in recent years and will continue to do so as new land use developments are planned for the region. The electrical infrastructure that currently serves the area is approaching its capacity to provide reliable electricity during periods of high demand. Construction of Falcon Ridge Substation will enable Southern California Edison (SCE) to continue providing safe and reliable electrical service to meet this need.
The Falcon Ridge Substation project will:
- Provide increased electrical capacity and delivery to serve the region’s growing need.
- Improve electrical distribution system flexibility and increase reliability by providing the ability to transfer electrical demand between other distribution substations within the region.
- Enhance the ability to serve future electrical demand through the construction of the Falcon Ridge Substation.
