Kimball Substation Project

Simulation of proposed Kimball Substation looking north on Walker Avenue

Simulation of proposed Kimball Substation looking north on Walker Avenue.

The cities of Chino and Ontario and surrounding areas in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties have been and will continue to experience rapid growth. SCE’s current forecast shows that projected demand for electrical service in the area will soon exceed SCE’s operating capacity at its existing facilities. Construction of Kimball Substation Project will enable SCE to provide safe and reliable electrical service to the area. The project will increase electrical capacity to the area, maintain system reliability and serve the area’s projected electrical demand.
