Southern California Edison (SCE) proposes to build the California portion of the Devers-Palo Verde No. 2 (DPV2) transmission project. The project will provide the transmission infrastructure needed for developers to transfer an additional 1,200 megawatts of new renewable and conventional generation from the solar energy rich areas of eastern Riverside County to energy customers in Southern California. The project will assist California in meeting its aggressive renewable energy goals of 33% by 2020.
