SCE’s Riverway Substation project has been completed and is currently in operation. The project will maintain safe and reliable service and meet projected electrical load requirements in the city of Visalia and northern Tulare County. The project was approved by the California Public Utilities Commission in September 2007. Construction on the project began in October 2007.
