SONGS and the Community


Employees at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) are dedicated to performing at the highest professional level, and to supporting the communities in which they work and live.
 
SONGS employees work closely with local city leaders and public services to improve the community. Among other activities, we organize beach clean-ups with surf clubs, plant trees with the Girl Scouts, and team up with local teachers to bring science to life for kids after school each week.  

We also provide material assistance in the form of computers, lab materials and office supplies for the local school district. In addition, employees organize fundraising drives for local charities and have raised millions of dollars in the past years.  

Knowing we can make a difference continues to inspire the employees at SONGS to help make the community a better place to live.
