Community Based Forest Management
The Edison Forest Management Team views a forest as much more than simply trees. It is comprised of key elements: fire, water, wildlife, and timber. Each plays a vital role to the ecosystem as a whole in helping the forest maintain its healthy balance.
Edison also strives to meet the needs of people in the Shaver Lake area. Community based forestry benefits local community members, as well as visitors who enjoy opportunities for recreation in and around Shaver Lake.
Edison Forestry's understanding of the entire forest ecosystem is displayed in the skillful and artistic application of management practices that promote forest health and a positive relationship with the public.
