Q1: How much travel is required of the Independent Evaluator on an annual basis?

A1: The amount of travel hours required is solicitation specific. Therefore, it is not possible to give an exact estimate. In the past, time spent at SCE facilities in Rosemead have varied between a few hours to couple of weeks. Also, there may be requests by SCE to attend meetings at the CPUC in San Francisco on occasion. SCE's experience is that most of the IE work can be done offsite once the IE has become familiar with SCE's processes, valuation methods, and selection processes. Familiarization may take many weeks to a few months.

Q2: Are the SCE and PRG interview dates with potential IE candidates set? Is there any flexibility?

A2: SCE will conduct first round phone interviews with top IE candidates between September 2nd and September 8th. There is some flexibility in scheduling the first round phone interviews during this period. SCE will arrange PRG's independent interviews (potential face to face interviews in San Francisco) with recommended IE candidates from September 19 to October 8. There is limited flexibility for PRG interviews during this period.
