Education - Edison Challenge

Edison understands that students participating in the Edison Challenge today will become the energy workforce of tomorrow. In order to better prepare them for future energy careers, the Edison Challenge provides each team with a "science mentor." Science mentors are SCE employees who volunteer their time to helping Edison Challenge teams understand the science, technical and environmental aspects of their projects.

Edison employees who volunteer as science mentors are true subject matter experts whose careers range from engineers to biologists to environmental scientists. Science mentors come from departments across the company, such as Energy Efficiency, Renewables, SCE's California Solar Initiative and our Biological and Archaeological Resources Protection Group, among many others.

Science mentors serve as valuable resources for students and are wonderful examples of the future of green careers and Edison's commitment to the environment.
