Education - Edison Challenge
Teacher Workshops
Not only do students get the opportunity to learn about energy and they environment when they sign up for the Edison Challenge, their teachers do too!
The Edison Challenge hosts a series of four professional development workshops aimed at supplying teachers with additional knowledge and resources to teach environmental sciences in their classrooms. Each workshop is led by subject matter experts from USC and Edison and includes hands-on activities, lesson plans and kits for classroom use.
All teachers who instruct a grade 6-12 science class at a school in SCE service territory are welcome to register. However, space is limited and teachers who are advising a team in the Edison Challenge will receive priority registration for the teacher workshops.
