SCE's Supplier Diversity Program is considered to be among the nation’s leading efforts of its kind.  The following are a some of the awards and recognition received in 2008:

• Corporate Partner Award, from the National Association of Women Business Owners - Los Angeles Chapter
• Corporation of the Year, from the Elite San Diego Veteran Owned Business Network (National)
• Corporate Leadership Award, from the Center for Veteran's Enterprise, Washington DC
• Small Business Advocate of the Year, given by the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce
• Utility Company of the Year, from the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce
• 2008 Advocate of the Year Award, from the San Diego Elite Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise
• 2008 Corporate Leadership Award, from the San Diego Elite Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise
• Visionary Award, from Alta Med Health Services Corp., the largest Latino nonprofit organization in the U.S.
